Allegra FX Junior (category II drug)

**Product Description**
Allegra FX Junior is an allergy-specific nasal remedy for children aged 7-14, containing the second-generation antihistamine fexofenadine hydrochloride at the same prescription strength (30 mg per tablet).

● Containing the second-generation antihistamine fexofenadine hydrochloride (30 mg per tablet), it provides excellent relief from severe allergy symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing caused by pollen and house dust.
● It is a non-drowsy allergy-specific nasal remedy as it is less likely to affect the brain.
● This medication is also less likely to cause “impaired performance,” a subtle decline in abilities such as concentration, judgment, and work efficiency.
● Taken twice a day, its effects last for 24 hours.
● Can be taken on an empty stomach.
● The tablets are small and easy to swallow.
※ For seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms such as hay fever, it is effective to start taking this medication from the predicted start of the pollen season or as soon as symptoms appear.

**Precautions for Use**
This product is for children, but the following are general precautions established for oral medications for rhinitis.
**Do Not**
(Failure to follow these instructions may result in worsening of current symptoms or increase the risk of adverse reactions or accidents.)
1. Do not take this product if you:
(1) Have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients.
(2) Are a child under 7 years of age.
2. While taking this product, do not use any of the following medications:
Other allergy medications (including those for skin diseases and oral medications for rhinitis), oral medications containing antihistamines (such as cold remedies, antitussives and expectorants, motion sickness medications, hypnotics and sedatives), preparations containing aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide (antacids), erythromycin (antibiotic), apalutamide (prostate cancer treatment).
3. Do not consume alcohol before or after taking this product.
4. If you are breastfeeding, do not take this product, or if you do take it, avoid breastfeeding. (Transfer into breast milk has been observed in animal studies.)

**Consultation**
1. Consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller before use if you:
(1) Are currently under medical treatment.
(2) Are unsure if your symptoms are due to allergic rhinitis or other causes such as a common cold.
(3) Have been diagnosed with other allergic diseases such as bronchial asthma or atopic dermatitis.
(4) Have severe nasal congestion.
(5) Are pregnant or may be pregnant.

2. If any of the following symptoms appear after taking this product, they may be adverse reactions. Stop taking the product immediately and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller with this package insert.
Skin: Swelling (throat, eyelids, lips, etc.), rash, itching, hives, redness of the skin
Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion
Neuropsychiatric: Numbness, headache, fatigue, malaise, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness, nightmares, sleep disorders
Urological: Frequent urination, difficulty urinating
Other: Palpitations, taste abnormalities, edema, chest pain, difficulty breathing, increased blood pressure, menstrual irregularities
※ In rare cases, the following serious symptoms may occur. In such cases, seek medical attention immediately.
Shock (anaphylaxis): Immediately after taking, symptoms such as itchy skin, hives, hoarseness, sneezing, itchy throat, difficulty breathing, palpitations, and confusion may appear.
Liver dysfunction: Symptoms such as fever, itching, rash, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes), brown urine, general malaise, and loss of appetite may appear.
Agranulocytosis, leukopenia, neutropenia: Sudden high fever, chills, sore throat, etc., may appear.
3. After taking this product, the following symptoms may occur. If these symptoms persist or worsen, stop taking the product and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller.
Dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, drowsiness.

**Indications and Effects**
Relief of nasal allergy symptoms caused by pollen, house dust (indoor dust), etc.: sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion.

**Dosage and Administration**
Take the following amount.

● Children aged 12-14
Single dose: 2 tablets
Frequency: Twice daily, morning and evening

● Children aged 7-11
Single dose: 1 tablet
Frequency: Twice daily, morning and evening

● Children under 7 years of age
Do not take.
(1) Strictly follow the prescribed dosage and administration.
(2) When administering to children, do so under the guidance and supervision of a guardian.
(3) For seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms such as hay fever, it is effective to start taking this medication from the predicted start of the pollen season or as soon as symptoms appear.
(4) If symptoms do not improve after taking for 3-4 days, stop taking the product and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller. Also, if symptoms improve but you intend to take the product for more than 2 weeks, consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller.
(5) How to remove the tablet:
Firmly press the convex part of the PTP sheet containing the tablet with your fingertip to break the foil on the back, remove the tablet, and take it. (Accidentally swallowing the sheet can lead to unexpected accidents, such as piercing the esophageal mucosa.)

**Ingredients**
Daily dose for children aged 7-11 (2 tablets) contains:
Fexofenadine Hydrochloride…60mg

Daily dose for children aged 12-14 (4 tablets) contains:
Fexofenadine Hydrochloride…120mg

Additives: Crystalline Cellulose, Partially Pregelatinized Starch, Croscarmellose Sodium, Magnesium Stearate, Light Anhydrous Silicic Acid, Hypromellose, Povidone, Titanium Dioxide, Macrogol 400, Ferric Sesquioxide, Yellow Ferric Sesquioxide.

**Storage and Handling Precautions**
(1) Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
(2) Keep out of reach of children.
(3) Do not transfer to another container. (This may cause misuse or affect the quality of the product.)
(4) Do not use after the expiration date.
