Claritin EX (category II drug)

**Product Description**
A non-drowsy, once-daily, one-tablet medication for allergic rhinitis.

● Claritin EX contains loratadine, a second-generation antihistamine ingredient.
● It is effective against severe runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing with a once-daily, one-tablet dosage, making it easy to remember to take.
● For symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, it is effective to start taking this medication early in the season when symptoms are still mild, as soon as they appear.
● The active ingredient, loratadine, is a non-sedating component with low penetration into the brain, which means it is less likely to cause drowsiness or a decrease in concentration.
● The tablets are small, with a diameter of 6.5 mm, making them easy to swallow.

**Precautions for Use**
**Contraindications**
(Failure to follow these instructions may result in worsening of current symptoms, side effects, or accidents.)
1. Do not take this product if you:
(1) Have ever had an allergic reaction to this drug or any of its ingredients.
(2) Are a child under 15 years of age.
2. While taking this product, do not use any of the following medications:
Other allergy medications (including those for skin diseases and internal use for rhinitis), internal medications containing antihistamines (such as cold remedies, antitussives and expectorants, motion sickness drugs, hypnotics and sedatives), erythromycin, cimetidine.
3. Do not consume alcohol before or after taking this medication.
4. If you are breastfeeding, do not take this product, or avoid breastfeeding if you do take it.

**Consultation**
1. Consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller before use if you:
(1) Are currently under medical treatment.
(2) Have been diagnosed with the following conditions:
Liver disease, kidney disease, epilepsy.
(3) Are unsure whether your symptoms are due to allergic rhinitis or other causes such as a common cold.
(4) Have been diagnosed with other allergic diseases such as bronchial asthma or atopic dermatitis.
(5) Are pregnant or may be pregnant.
(6) Are elderly.
(7) Have ever had allergic symptoms due to medications or other substances.
2. If any of the following symptoms appear after taking this medication, they may be side effects. Stop taking the product immediately and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller with this instruction leaflet.
Skin: Rash, itching, hives, skin redness, hair loss
Respiratory system: Sore throat, nasal dryness
Digestive system: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dry lips, stomatitis, gastritis
Neuropsychiatric system: Malaise, dizziness, headache
Cardiovascular system: Palpitations, tachycardia
Other: Dry eyes, tinnitus, hearing loss, hot flashes, edema (face, limbs), taste abnormality, menstrual irregularities, chest discomfort, abnormal uterine bleeding, chest pain, urinary retention
*In rare cases, the following serious symptoms may occur. In such cases, seek medical attention immediately.
Shock (anaphylaxis): Immediately after taking, symptoms such as skin itching, hives, hoarseness, sneezing, throat itching, difficulty breathing, palpitations, and confusion may appear.
Epilepsy: (In individuals with a history of epileptic seizures) Muscle stiffness or trembling, impaired consciousness, memory loss preceding the seizure.
Convulsions: Paroxysmal muscle contractions appear.
Liver dysfunction: Fever, itching, rash, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes), brown urine, general malaise, loss of appetite, etc., may appear.
3. After taking this medication, the following symptoms may occur. If these symptoms persist or worsen, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller.
Dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, drowsiness.

**Indications and Effects**
Relief of the following nasal allergy symptoms caused by pollen, house dust (indoor dust), etc.: runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing.

**Dosage and Administration**
Adults (15 years of age and older): Take 1 tablet once a day after a meal. Please take it at the same time each day.

● Adults (15 years of age and older)
Single dose: 1 tablet
Frequency: Once a day (at the same time each day)

● Under 15 years of age
Do not take.
(1) Strictly follow the prescribed dosage and administration.
(2) For symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever, it is effective to start taking this medication early in the season when symptoms are still mild, as soon as they appear.
(3) If symptoms do not improve after taking for about one week, consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller. Also, if you continue to take this medication for more than two weeks even if symptoms have improved, consult a doctor, pharmacist, or registered seller.
(4) How to remove the tablet
Firmly press the convex part of the PTP sheet containing the tablet with your fingertip to break the aluminum foil on the back, and take out the tablet. (Accidentally swallowing the sheet can lead to unexpected accidents, such as the sheet piercing the esophageal mucosa.)

**Storage and Handling Precautions**
