Taisho Quick Care Mouth Ulcer Ointment (category II drug, special)

**Product Description**
For painful, stinging canker sores

● Taisho Quick Care Canker Sore Ointment is a topical treatment for canker sores containing the steroid ingredient “Triamcinolone Acetonide.”
● It utilizes Aqua Sensor Barrier* technology, which adheres firmly upon application, draws moisture to the surface, and protects the affected area from irritation. A key feature is its excellent adhesion, which prevents the formulation from sticking to surrounding areas like teeth and allows it to cover the affected area for an extended period.
● This ointment is easy to apply, even to canker sores on the tongue or in the back of the mouth.

**Precautions for Use**
**Contraindications**
(Failure to follow these instructions may result in worsening of current symptoms or an increased risk of side effects)
The following persons should not use this product:
(1) Persons with suspected infectious stomatitis. (Consult a physician, dentist, pharmacist, or registered seller.)
・Persons with white patches that spread throughout the oral cavity and can be easily wiped off with gauze (suspected candidal infection).
・Persons with yellow pus in the affected area (suspected bacterial infection).
・Persons with multiple small vesicles (the size of a grain of rice to an adzuki bean) in the oral cavity, or with vesicles and rashes on the lips or skin outside the oral mucosa (suspected viral infection).
・Persons experiencing systemic symptoms such as fever, loss of appetite, general malaise, or swollen lymph nodes (suspected viral infection).
(2) Persons with an infection in the oral cavity. (Do not use on areas with oral infections such as alveolar pyorrhea or gingivitis, as there are reports that the use of steroids can worsen infections.)
(3) Persons whose symptoms do not improve after 5 days of use.
(4) Persons whose symptoms worsen after 1-2 days of use.

**Consultation**
1. The following persons should consult a physician, dentist, pharmacist, or registered seller before use:
(1) Persons undergoing treatment by a physician or dentist.
(2) Persons who have had allergic reactions to medications or other substances.
(3) Persons who are pregnant or may be pregnant.
(4) Persons who are breastfeeding.
(5) Persons with a large affected area.
(6) The elderly.
2. If the following symptoms appear after use, there is a possibility of side effects. Discontinue use immediately and consult a physician, dentist, pharmacist, or registered seller with this instruction manual.
Oral cavity: White patches (suspected candidal infection), yellow pus in the affected area (suspected bacterial infection)
Other: Allergic symptoms (bronchial asthma attacks, edema, etc.)
3. If the following symptoms appear after using this product, it may indicate stomatitis caused by an infection or another disease. Discontinue use and consult a physician, dentist, pharmacist, or registered seller with this instruction manual.
Fever, loss of appetite, general malaise, swollen lymph nodes, vesicles (outside the oral cavity), rash/redness, itching, spreading of the affected area within the oral cavity, eye pain, blurred vision, genital ulcers.

**Indications**
Aphthous stomatitis (canker sores)

**Dosage and Administration**
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to several times a day.
(1) Strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration.
(2) When used by children, it should be administered under the guidance and supervision of a guardian.
(3) This product is for oral use only. Do not use it for any other purpose.
(4) Do not use for purposes other than treatment, such as for denture adhesion.
(5) Discontinue use once the pain has subsided.

**Storage and Handling Precautions**
(1) Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, with the cap tightly sealed.
(2) Keep out of reach of children.
(3) Do not transfer to another container. (This may cause misuse or affect the quality of the product.)
(4) Do not use this product after the expiration date. Even within the expiration date, use it as soon as possible after opening to maintain quality.
